Gantt Charts can be visualized with Tableau but not to be used as a planning tool

Gantt charts are easy to create with Tableau.  However, Tableau does not have many capabilities to create a visual that let's users easily modify attributes, like start and end times, etc...  However, I was determined to create something that would modify the visual.  I created a parameter for the duration (along with a calculated field)  of one task and called it Guidelines Duration.  Modify the value using the slider on the upper right of the viz and notice the change.  I guess one can create a parameter for each task (and parameters for start date) but it becomes tedious.

The bottom line is Tableau is a decent tool to visualize a Gantt chart with abilities to filter it to identify what you are interested in.

The second chart on this page is an alternative view to show and filter based on the worker, priority/status.
